Kind words
I am quite a bit past my prime chronologically (70’s), but sessions with Jenny make me feel like my prime is within reach. I trust Jenny’s consistent ability to be keenly observant, to work safely, and to give me clear yet gentle corrections. She directs me in ways which simultaneously integrate images of lengthening, lifting, sinking (ribs), opening, and widening, while avoiding images that might promote tension. All of this is strengthening my core, and keeping me fit to work full time as a teacher, and to feel young.
Jenny has been teaching me Pilates for more than six years. She’s a fabulous teacher in so many ways. She is extremely knowledgeable about the Pilates method and brings great enthusiasm into her teaching practice. She’s always encouraging me to continue excelling and I’ve gotten so much stronger through my work with her. Jenny has such a fun and kind personality. In addition to giving me a really challenging workout, spending the hour with her is simply hanging out with a good friend. Jenny is really in tune with what my body needs on any given day and tailors every session accordingly. She helped me recover full mobility and strength after a serious injury and always put my safety first. I highly recommend you take Pilates with Jenny. Your mind and body will be so happy that you did!
I love being instructed by Jenny. She’s attentive to detail and her cues are immediately understandable. My core has gotten immensely stronger and my movement has become more refined since working with her. Her workouts are a perfect adjunct to the weightlifting that I do.

I am also very grateful for the wonderful privates she is giving my husband who is living with dementia. He has very little filter left, so when he says he likes something, you know he likes it, and he likes Jenny. He may have lost his memory, but he has not lost his discernment about people and his good taste. That Merril can follow Jenny’s instructions is a testament to her patience and teaching style. His alignment is now vastly improved, and I can only imagine that anyone in the early stages of Alzheimer’s would benefit from the mind/body connection that Pilates provides. It is a unique Pilates teacher who can successfully instruct someone like my Merril.
Jenny is a ‘keeper’, a gift that keeps on giving, a force of positive energy, truly dedicated to the Pilates way – classical and modern. Seven years is a long time to be with one trainer. In all that time I look forward to each session knowing I will be challenged, engaged, enthused and heard…and…there will be laughter! Jenny is always attentive, asking how I feel; prepared to switch gears and amend the plan to make the workout more comfortable, no less impactful, in an alternative way. I am so proud of my posture, my ever strengthening core, my stamina, my increased ability to balance, to be cognizant of my surroundings, to save myself from hitting the ground, when tripping over an irregularity in a sidewalk, to dodge and swivel from the path of a speeding biker!
